claudine wong's been on the scene owl morning and gives us an update. >> reporter: yes. we can show you two of those locations here on earl. behind me crews just stopping in the last couple minutes to take a break. that's one of the sites. if we pan up on to the hill you can see one of the excavators working on the secondary site. they are taking a lot of precautions this morning. we can tell you we've watched these crews wearing protective gear spraying down the sites with water to make sure that dust level stays down. and there are air monitors in and around this entire neighborhood to make sure that there's not any dangerous levels of partichat matter or gases. they're doing all of these in response to health concerns. but the county says it is determined to give this neighborhood back to san bruno. rick stopped for a moment on his morning run to look at the damage on claremont drive. he's run through this neighborhood every day since the explosion. >> i live a couple blocks from the actual blast site explosion off of earl. >> reporter: and you've been running every d

kraig debro joins us now with details on what happened. good afternoon, kraig. >> reporter: good afternoon, tori. i have been talking with the store manager and owners. it happened around 10:00 this morning. from news chopper 2 you can see the scene above the store. here is what i heard. after they opened this morning a manager in the back room heard a noise and in ran three men. the men sprayed pepper spray on the faces of two employees, protect the glass, scooped up the jewelry and left. the strength of the spray was so bad two of the employees had to go to the hospital. police came immediately here and others stayed back, other employees stayed back in the office when they heard the noise. >> it was rely noisy, actually and very frightening. we were not sure what the noise was from, so the employees who were in the office once the sound went down we went out to make sure everybody was okay. we were on the phone with 911 seconds after we knew it was happening. >> reporter: the manager says the people in the store, the customers helped th

one yesterday gave us a lot of high clouds. that held things in check but even though we have the sunshine now, we're barely warming up a little bit. we also have another system out here that's gonna play in our weekend forecast. high pressure is coming in today. it's very weak. there is a lot of fog out there. there is another system coming in that will keep the fog going. so low clouds. if you have the sun, it's not too bad. 60s on the coast. if you are stuck in the fog, 50s. inland, 70s or very low 80s. livermore, concord and danville, i might add, are all about 70 degrees. 65, though, palo alto, san jose is only 68. 50s for san francisco, san rafael and napa. oakland, berkeley in the low 60s. it's warmer up in tahoe. even ukiah is on the cool side for 73. a lot of fog keeping temperatures really cool. our system is developing, it looks like our first rainer of the season. it won't be until late friday/saturday. it is showing signs of giving us a lot of clouds and rain, especially san francisco, oakland, i would say vallejo
